The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine cancelled its decision on approval in the first reading the draft law “On introducing amendments into the Criminal and Criminal-Procedural Code of Ukraine concerning strengthening of responsibility for infringement of honour, dignity and business reputation of a person”.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, 349 out of 380 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted for this decision.
174 lawmakers from the Party of Regions, 56 lawmakers from the BYUT-Batkivshchyna faction, 45 lawmakers from the OU-PSD, 23 lawmakers from the CPU, 20 lawmakers from the People’s Party, 18 lawmakers from “Reforms for the sake of future” group and 13 out factional lawmakers voted for this decision.
