President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski discussed an issue of the parliamentary elections in Ukraine and European integration of Ukraine with head of the Council of the European Union Herman Van Rompuy.

The press service of the head of the Polish state disclosed this to UNIAN having noted that this talk took place on November 13.

According to the data of the press service, B. Komorowski repeated a thesis that the recent parliamentary elections confirmed wish of Ukrainians to enter the European Union, which unites 27 states.

He said that all parties, which entered the parliament, besides communists, publicly support European integration.

B. Komorowski said this fact is “a proof of success of European intentions” in this country.

The President of Poland also expressed an opinion that the European Union can open perspective of further approaching of Ukraine to the EU on condition of interior reforms, in particular “in legal proceedings area, prosecutor’s office area, criminal processes and other case in Ukraine, which cause concern”.

B. Komorowski said that it is possible to combine two processes: to bring closer a moment of signing and ratification of Agreement on Association and to solve interior problems of the Ukrainian state.
