Yanukovych: Ukraine considers India as one of most important partners in South Asia
Ukraine considers India as one of the most important partners in South Asia, noted President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych during the meeting with Foreign Minister of India Salman Khurshid in New Delhi.
“We are ready to work with you in order to find common interests in those areas of economy, which are traditionally strong for us”, - said the head of the Ukrainian state, the press service of the President disclosed to UNIAN.
V. Yanukovych added that he would like to hear suggestions from the Indian side concerning cooperation in those areas, which are the most interesting for them.
He also noted that Ukraine appreciates the cooperation with India within a framework of international organizations, in particular the UN.
V. Yanukovych expressed hoped that mutual desire of Ukraine and India to deepen an efficient cooperation will ensure development of relations of two countries.
In his turn Salman Khurshid underlined an importance of the state visit of the President of Ukraine to India. He noted that Ukraine and India have a lot of issues for discussion today.
He also noted a necessity of carrying out of intensive political dialogue between the countries at the high level.
