Eugenia Tymoshenko to attend European People’s Party Summit
Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko has appointed her deputy, Hryhoriy Nemyria, to represent the party at the European People’s Party Summit on December 13 in Brussels, Belgium, according to Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.
Yulia Tymoshenko’s daughter, Eugenia Tymoshenko, has also been invited to participate in the summit. She and Hryhoriy Nemyria will hold a number of meetings with European leaders.
Hryhoriy Nemyria will address the summit and talk about the situation in Ukraine after the parliamentary elections and developments in the cases of political prisoners in Ukraine - Yulia Tymoshenko, former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko and others.
European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Majoy, Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker, and many other leaders of EU member states will be in attendance.
The EPP is the largest and most influential European-level political party of the centre-right, which currently includes 74 member-parties from 40 countries, the Presidents of the European Commission and the European Council, 15 EU and 6 non-EU heads of state and government, 13 members of the European Commission and the largest Group in the European Parliament.
