Bus crash in southern Ukraine kills 1, injures 10
One passenger was killed and 10 others injured after a bus with 24 people onboard veered off a road and crashed in southern Ukraine on Tuesday, local authorities said, according to Xinhua.
The accident happened at 8:45 a.m. local time (0645 GMT) on the Gopri-Zhelezni Port highway in the Kherson region when the bus rammed into a ditch after the driver lost control on a slippery road, the Emergencies Ministry said.
A 22-year-old woman died in the accident, and the wounded were immediately taken to hospital, said the ministry.
The area where the accident took place experienced some heavy snowfalls over the past week.
Bad weather conditions may have caused the crash, and a further investigation into the accident is underway.
