President offers to appoint Sorkin for post of chairman of National Bank of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych submitted a draft resolution on appointment of deputy chairman of the NBU Ihor Sorkin for the post of chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 24, 2012 President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych by his decree appointed Serhiy Arbuzov first Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine. S. Arbuzov took the post of the chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine since 2010.

Ihor Sorkin was appointed acting chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine on December 25, 2012.
