VR appoints Sorkin for post of NBU chairman

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Ihor Sorkin for the post of chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 231 out of 337 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted for this decision.

187 lawmakers from the Party of Regions, 31 lawmakers from the CPU and 13 out factional lawmakers voted for this decision.

The Batkivshchyna, UDAR and Svoboda factions did not vote for this decision.
