Opposition offers to imprison people who violate rules of voting in VR for 8 years

Lawmakers Arseniy Yatsenyuk (the Batkivshchyna faction), Vitaliy Klitschko (UDAR faction) and Andriy Tyagnybok (the Svoboda faction) submitted to consideration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a draft Law “On introducing amendments into the Criminal Code of Ukraine and Criminal-Procedural Code of Ukraine”.

The draft law, the text of which is posted at web site of the VR, offers to establish criminal responsibility for violation of rules of voting in the plenary sittings of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea and the local councils.
