President took part in wreath-laying ceremony to monuments of Shevchenko and Hrushevskyi

President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych took part in a wreath-laying ceremony to the monuments of  Taras Shevchenko and Mykhaylo Hrushevskyi on the occasion of the Day of Unity and Freedom of Ukraine.

According to the press service of the head of the state, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, chairman of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov, governmental officials, priesthood and public representatives also took part in the ceremony.

After the wreath-laying ceremony the President of Ukraine communicated with the representatives of priesthood.
