Tomorrow, on February 6, President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych will pay an official visit to Lithuania. Within a framework of the visit the 6th sitting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Lithuania will take place.
The press service of the President of Ukraine disclosed to UNIAN that the chief of staff of the Administration of President of Ukraine Serhiy Lyovochkin said this.
V. Yanukovych will hold meetings with President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevičius and chairman of the Seim of the country Vydas Gedvilas.
During the negotiations they will discuss a topic of European integration of Ukraine, in particular, preparation for the Summit Ukraine-EU and conclusion of an Agreement on association with the European Union.
An agenda also includes issues concerning stirring up of trade-economic interaction, cooperation in transport and energy areas, and intensification of the cultural-humanitarian relations between Ukraine and Lithuania, noted S. Lyovochkin.
He also noted that within a framework of the visit it is also planned to sign a Road Map of development of a strategic partnership between Ukraine and Lithuania for 2013-2014 years.
