Opposition lawmakers have been blocking a work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the third day running.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, as of now 15 lawmakers from the UDAR faction and about 20 lawmakers from the Batkivshchyna faction stay in the session hall of the parliament.

The demands of opposition have remained immutable – necessity of putting into operation a personal voting system.

Deputy leader of the UDAR faction Vitaliy Kovalchuk said to journalists that the night passed rather at ease.

According to his words, about at 3.00 am two lawmakers from the Batkivshchyna faction Mykola Katerynchuk and Anatoliy Hrytsenko came over to the session hall to support the members of the UDAR.

“They arrived in 3.00 am in order to support us”, - said V. Kovalchuk.

Commenting on information that Party of Regions’ members may use a force variant for unblocking a work of the VR today, V. Kovalchuk noted that opposition will resist it.

“There is such information that they will unblock, using a force, but we will defend ourselves”, - he said.

Answering question of an UNIAN correspondent, whether opposition allows European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle to deliver a speech at 15.00 pm in the session hall, V. Kovalchuk noted that he does not see any obstacles for this speech.

“The main thing is the leadership of the VRU to ensure his speech”, - he said.
