Ukraine stands for a single economic space between the European Union (EU) and the Customs Union (CU) of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara said Monday, according to Xinhua.

"We strongly support a common economic space between these two powerful economic associations," Kozhara said at an economic forum here.

The EU and the CU, which share a common border and have an aggregate turnover of 446 billion U.S. dollars, should begin negotiations on trade facilitation, he said.

Kozhara also said that Ukraine could benefit from the creation of the common economic space between Brussels and Moscow.
