System reforms in Ukraine and implementation of complex programs with the EU will facilitate signing of the Association Agreement in the course of Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych. It was stated by the President at the meeting with the representatives of Supervisory Board of Yalta European Strategy.

“I hope that this year, we will sign the Association Agreement with the EU in the course of the Summit in Vilnius,” the President noted.

According to Viktor Yanukovych, strengthening the rule of law and judicial independence is a constant priority for Ukraine. “It is a pleasure for me to note that Mr. Kvasnevskyi actively participates in this process. Our active cooperation is filled with practical sense. It is very important for us that Yalta European Strategy facilitates European integration course of Ukraine,” the Head of State emphasized.

In his turn, Head of Supervisory Board of Yalta European Strategy Oleksandr Kvasnevskyi expressed gratitude to the President for long-term cooperation with the organization. According to him, 2013 must become a historical year in the development of Ukraine-EU relations. “I think that signing the Association Agreement and the Agreement on FTA in the course of the Summit in Vilnius must become a breakthrough not only for the Ukrainian-European relations, it will be a historic moment for Europe and Ukraine. It can change everything,” O. Kvasnevskyi noted.
