Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak arrived in Poland on a working visit. During the visit V. Rybak plans to hold a range of the bilateral meetings and to take part in the 5th sitting of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Saejma of the Republic of Lithuania, and the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland.

Representative of the press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in Warsaw disclosed this to UNIAN.

According to the program of the visit, firstly the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will hold a meeting with President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski.

According to the press service of the Polish President, the sides plan to discuss the situation in Ukraine in a context of signing of Agreement on association of Ukraine with the EU planned for this year.

After that V. Rybak will hold meetings with Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Bogdan Borusewicz, Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Ewa Kopacz and Chairman of the Seimas of the Lithuanian Republic Vydas Gedvilas.

The press service of the head of the Sejm disclosed to UNIAN that during the meeting Ewa Kopacz plans to discuss with V. Rybak a cooperation of the parliaments in a context of the European integration of Ukraine and also issues concerning the bilateral cooperation.

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada will also participate in the wreath-laying ceremony to the memorial plaque to the Polish deputies, the victims of the World War II (1939-1945), and to the deputies and senators who died in Smolensk plane crash of 10.04.2010.
