The Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament on April 18 will hear the report of the mission that has been monitoring court proceedings involving imprisoned former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko, according to the official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"Former European Parliament President Pat Cox and former President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski will report on the results of their last visit to Ukraine to the Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, which will decide whether to extend the mission," said Hryhoriy Nemyria, the deputy head of Batkivshchyna.

He believes their decision will also depend on the willingness of the Ukrainian authorities to implement the recommendations made by Pat Cox and Aleksander Kwasniewski. "So far it’s difficult to predict what their decision will be," he said.
