Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych believes that the Verkhovna Rada must begin its work as soon as possible. However, he does not rule out that the political struggle may be dragged out.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, the Prime Minister claimed this to a session of the government today.

“The majority of Ministers, as well as me, will become lawmakers. It is necessary that our legislative body must begin its work as soon as possible, and an efficient mechanism of collaboration be created between the parliament, government, and the President”, Victor Yanukovych said.

The Prime Minister called on all the political forces to make everything for the Verkhovna Rada to begin its work as soon as possible and efficiently. “But the beginning of work of the working group indicates this work will be rather complicated, because the balance of political forces, which cannot reach understanding, is not in favor of any political force, as of today”, he said.

Victor Yanukovych believes that the political forces must study how to agree for the sake of the state and the Ukrainian nation.
