VRU refuses to appoint elections in Kyiv on June 2

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not support in the second reading the draft resolution “On appointment of regular elections of lawmakers of Kyiv city council and Kyiv city chairman”.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, only 209 (it is necessary 226 lawmakers – UNIAN) out of 406 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted for this decision.

3 lawmakers from the Party of Regions, 91 lawmakers from the Batkivshchyna, 41 lawmakers from the UDAR and 36 lawmakers from the Svoboda, 21 lawmakers from the CPU and 17 out factional lawmakers voted for this decision.
