16 lawyers have addressed V. Yanukovych with a request to release Yu. Tymoshenko.
Representatives of legal community, lawyers-practitioners and scientists have addressed President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych with a request to release ex Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and ensure a full political and judicial rehabilitation for her.
The press service of the Batkivshchyna disclosed to UNIAN that the following is said in the address: “Yulia Tymoshenko is convicted for actions, which in accordance with the conclusions of home and foreign experts, are in only political responsibility, but not in criminal responsibility. The case of Tymoshenko is an indication of destroying of democratic bases of public life in Ukraine and undermines image of our state at the international arena”.
The address was signed by 16 lawyers, among them are lawyers Mykola Siryi, Oleksandr Plakhotnyuk, Ihor Fomin, lawyers-practitioners Oleksandr Shevchenko, Roman Zvarych, Roman Romanyuk, lawyers-lawmakers Valeriy Karpuntsov, Victor Chumak, Ruslan Knyazhevych, Oleh Makhnytskyi and Pavlo Petrenko.
