EU and US diplomats to visit Yulia Tymoshenko on April 29

Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Ambassador Jan Tombinski and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft will visit former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in Kharkiv on April 29, according to official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

This January, immediately after Yulia Tymoshenko announced an act of civil disobedience, Ambassadors Tombinski and Tefft asked the Ukrainian government for permission to meet with the ex-premier but were never given a response.

In late February the diplomats made a second request to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Viktor Yanukovych.
