Yushchenko may propose Plyushch for Speaker

Members of the political council of the Our Ukraine – People’s Self Defence got to know yesterday that OU-PSD faction lawmakers will meet with the President of Ukraine on November 22, according to Kommersant – Ukraina newspaper (№206 of November 20).

“According to the information of Kommersant – Ukraina, at this meeting Victor Yushchenko intends to propose the candidacy of Ivan Plyushch for the post of the Verkhovna Rada Speaker. Allies of Vyacheslav Kyrylenko – the former candidate – assure that he will obey to the decision of the President”, - notes the newspaper, referring to its sources among participants of the yesterday’s meeting and in the Presidential Secretariat.
