The parliament decreed to create Interim investigatory commission for investigation of the facts of assault on mass media representatives on May 18 in Kyiv and other facts of impediment to legal professional activity of journalists.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 354 out of 415 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted for the resolution “On creation of Interim Investigatory Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on issues concerning investigation of facts of assault on mass media representatives on May 18, 2013 in Kyiv, at Volodymyrska Street, 15 and investigation of other facts of pressure on mass media, impediment to legal professional activity of journalists”.

The CPU faction did not voted for this resolution in full staff.

169 lawmakers from the Party of Regions, 84 lawmakers from the Batkivshchyna faction, 38 lawmakers from the UDAR faction, 36 from the Svoboda faction and 27 out factional lawmakers supported the resolution.
