Melnichenko submits important data on case of Shcherban to PGO – Kuzmin

First deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine Renat Kuzmin states that former major of the Department for State Guards Mykola Melnichenko has submitted to the Prosecutor’s General Office important reports on case concerning the murder of lawmaker Yevgeniy Shcherban in 1996.

R. Kuzmin said this in an interview to “Forbes Ukraine” magazine.

“These films are very interesting. We are working on them now.  Major Mykola Melnichenko has submitted very importing data. In particular, concerning the fact that the defense of Yu. Tymoshenko and some Ukrainian politicians elaborated an operation on elimination of this criminal case and discredit to investigators of the Prosecutor General’s Office”, - said R. Kuzmin.
