Ukraine is aware of position of the European Parliament in context of assessment by the European Parliament of some interior political processes in the state, and   issue concerning signing and ratification of Agreement on association.

The press service of the VRU disclosed to UNIAN that Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak said this during the meeting with Vice President of the European Parliament Jacek Protasiewicz.

V. Rybak underlined an importance of interaction with the European Union in key issues of agenda Ukraine-EU, in particular, concerning preparation for signing of Agreement on association.

According to the words of V. Rybak, as term of signing of agreement at Vilnius summit in November is approaching, issues of implementation of expected reforms become more urgent and are topics of regular discussions in the European Parliament.

He highly estimated position of  lawmakers of the European Parliament in necessity of signing of agreement, their constructive comments and recommendations within a framework of consideration of “Ukrainian issue” during the recent sittings of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

We reckon on a wide temporary use of agreement, which will not to be confined to only trade-economic area”, - said V. Rybak, having noted that the Ukrainian side is aware of the fact that “this area of temporary use will be defined by member countries  and institutions of the EU during interior consultations, proceeding from provisions of Lisbon treaty”.
