Committee of U.S. Senate approves candidacy of Geoffrey Pyatt for post of Ambassador to Ukraine
United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations approved a candidacy of Geoffrey Pyatt for the post of Ambassador of USA to Ukraine.
The press service of the Batkivshchyna disclosed this to UNIAN, having noted that the corresponding decision was made at sitting of the Committee yesterday.
The United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations also adopted a resolution, which contains of appeal to authorities of Ukraine to release ex Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko.
As UNIAN reported earlier, John Tefft is an incumbent Ambassador of USA to Ukraine now. He was appointed for this post in September 2009.
