Vyacheslav Ovcharenko elected as chairman of Constitutional Court of Ukraine

Vyacheslav Ovcharenko was elected as a chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

The press service of the Constitutional Court disclosed this to UNIAN.

It is said in the report that elections of new chairman of the Court took place today, on July 18, at special plenary sitting of the Constitutional Court in accordance with an article 148 of Constitution of Ukraine and article 20 of the Law of Ukraine “On Constitutional Court of Ukraine”.

“As a result of the voting by secret ballot judge Vyacheslav Ovcharenko was elected as chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine”, - the press service reports.
