Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko is a key political player and a possibility of her medical treatment in Germany is a main term for signing of Agreement on association with the European Union.
Leader of the Batkivshchyna faction Arseniy Yatsenyuk said this on the air of Radio Svoboda.
“For Ukraine an imprisonment of Tymoshenko is one of the biggest barriers on a way for signing of agreement on association between Ukraine and the European Union. Attempts of Victor Yanukovych during two years to isolate Yu. Tymoshenko as a political leader failed. She remains one of the main participants of the political process”, - said A. Yatsenyuk.
He believes that further imprisonment of the ex Prime Minister will lead to nothing. According to his words, an amalgamation of the Batkivshchyna and the Front of Changes parties is a guarantee of the fact that Yu. Tymoshenko will remain a key player in the Ukrainian politics.
