Ukraine demonstrates a “positive trend” in issue concerning signing of agreement on association with the EU scheduled for November and will be able to sign this document if fulfills all necessary conditions.
European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle said this in an interview to Gazeta Wyborcza Polish edition.
“Sure, Ukraine will be able to sign an agreement on association in November, but it depends on itself. The Council of the European Union clearly expressed the position: the country should stop a selective justice, reform electoral legislation and show a progress in implementation of the European standards”, - he said.
“I see a definite positive trend: the government understands how important the agreement is for the country and us”, - noted Š. Füle
