Yanukovych discusses with President of European parliament perspectives of signing of Agreement on association between Ukraine and EU
President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych discussed with President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz issues of the bilateral relations of Ukraine and the European Union, primarily in a context of perspectives of signing of the Agreement on association.
The press service disclosed to UNIAN that they discussed these issues during their telephone talk.
V. Yanukovych noted that now the activities of the Ukrainian power are concentrated on carrying out of measures necessary for ensuring of signing of Agreement during “Eastern partnership” Vilnius summit in November of the current year. The President of Ukraine underlined that the work in all directions is carried out in active interaction with main institutions of the EU, Council of Europe and OSCE.
V. Yanukovych also noted that the draft law on reforming of the prosecutor’s office was submitted to the Venice Commission for taking into account the recommendations of this institution before sending this draft law to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
