Verkhovna Rada chairman of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk believes that the parliament works rather democratically. According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this to a news conference in Kyiv today.

“Nothing else but democracy takes place in the parliament”, A.Yatseniuk said.

He noted that the Verkhovna Rada is not an army, where lawmakers may be lined up and told were to go.

“I would like that Ukraine has the parliament, which is democratic, the parliament, which has different positions and different opinions, and the parliament, which, after complicated and long-lasting discussions, nevertheless, makes consensus decisions”, he said.

At the same time, A.Yatseniuk stressed it was difficult for him to work during the last two days.
