The European Parliament is planning in the last week of September to hear the report of the mission led by former President of the European Parliament Pat Cox and former President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski, who have been monitoring political trials in Ukraine, particularly involving former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"In Brussels they believe this document will play a role in the decision by member states whether or not to sign the association agreement with Ukraine," Radio Svoboda reported, citing information provided by EP Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Elmar Brok.

The Cox-Kwasniewski mission began monitoring the trial of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on June 11, 2012. Later their mandate was expanded to include the trials of former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko and former acting Defense Minister Valeriy Ivashchenko.
