Slovakia confirmed again its active and overall support of European integration aspirations of Ukraine.

The Information Policy Department of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine disclosed to UNIAN that it is said in the joint statement, signed as a result of the negotiations of Foreign Minister of Ukraine, incumbent chairman of the OSCE Leonid Kozhara with Foreign Minister of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák. The negotiations took place during the official visit of L. Kozhara to Slovakia.

During the meeting the parties noted a high level of political dialogue, the positive tendencies of development of the trade-economic cooperation between Ukraine and Slovakia, discussed perspective directions of deepening of cooperation between two states.

They also shared opinions on urgent international issues, interaction of two countries within a framework of international organizations. In this context L. Kozhara has informed about measures of the Ukrainian chairmanship on implementation of priorities of Ukraine within a framework of the OSCE.

During the negotiations the Foreign Minister of Ukraine noted that signing an Agreement on association between Ukraine and the EU at the summit in Vilnius and reaching of progress in a visa-free dialogue remain an indisputable priority for Ukraine. In particular, the Minister has informed about interior reforms, which Ukraine implements in view of preparation for the signing of the Agreement on association.
