An unidentified man killed himself and seriously wounded two border guards when he blew himself up at the Ukrainian part of the border with Russia, authorities said Friday, according to Xinhua.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the incident occurred shortly after midnight at the Bachevsk checkpoint in Ukraine's northern Sumy region.

The man, who was hidden inside a minibus with Moldovan citizens, refused to show his passport to border guards and then blew himself up with an unknown explosive device.
