The European Union expects that the Eastern Partnership Summit in November in Vilnius will become “summit of achievements”.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle said this during the international conference “The Way Ahead for the Eastern Partnership” in Kyiv today.

“We have elaborated the policy, which gave us powerful means for attracting of our partners. The considerable progress has been reached for the last 4 years. The political level meetings became more frequent as well as informal meetings”, - said Füle.

He noted that “the considerable progress was achieved in liberalization of visa regime area. Moreover, development of the civil society was also successful. In November, during Vilnius Summit we hope to reach the greatest progress, having created a political association and profound integration into the European Union, including into the free trade area”.

According to words of Füle, it will be an important “step for transformation of good-neighborliness”. “I call it a change of rules of a game and I call it the first summit, where the practical goals and actions will be reached…it is means of expanding of Europe. It will be the summit of achievements”, stressed Füle.

He noted that the EU want to see a signing  of the Agreement on association with Ukraine.
