The Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament has extended through mid-November the mission led by former EP President Pat Cox and former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski, who have been monitoring the fulfillment by Ukraine of requirements for the signing of the association agreement, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"The Conference of Presidents has decided to extend the mission until mid-November," European Parliament President Martin Schulz said at a briefing today in Brussels, Belgium.

On October 4, Cox and Kwasniewski asked Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to pardon Yulia Tymoshenko. In her turn, the ex-premier of Ukraine officially accepted the offer of the EP mission to go to Germany for treatment, given the importance to Ukraine of the signing of the association agreement with the EU.
