The coalition lacks votes to appoint BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko on the post of the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Party of Regions faction member Anatoliy Tolstoukhov claimed this in an interview to UNIAN.

According to him, the interval in the parliament’s work (till 10.40 - UNIAN) indicates that the two factions – Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense and BYUT – “check up their readiness to the voting”.

“If there were the votes, there would be the voting for the candidacy on the post of the Prime Minister”, he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, today OU-PSD faction member Yuri Yekhanurov claimed he will not vote for appointing Yulia Tymoshenko on the post of Prime Minister, until candidacies for members of the Cabinet of Ministers are finally agreed.

Besides, OU-PSD faction member Ivan Spodarenko is also absent at the voting as he is in a reanimation.
