Yanukovych calls upon opposition to join preparation for celebration of 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birthday

President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych called upon the opposition to join the preparation for celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birthday of Taras Shevchenko in 2014.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, the President of Ukraine said this during the sitting of the Public Humanitarian Council dedicated to the preparation of the 200th anniversary of the birthday of Taras Shevchenko in 2014, in Kyiv today.

Moreover, he called upon the heads of all regions of the country “to act transparently in a preparation process”.
