The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has ordered that Yulia Tymoshenko’s defense counsel Serhiy Vlasenko pay nearly 23,000 hryvnias in bail and banned him from traveling abroad, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

The court made its decision on the basis of an examination conducted by the prosecution in 2013, in which the so-called "experts" determined five years later that Serhiy Vlasenko had allegedly inflicted "harm" on his then wife in 2008-2011.

Neither the prosecution nor the court could explain why the criminal investigation in a domestic conflict is being conducted by the main investigation department for important cases of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
