The U.S. Senate adopted a resolution, in which they call on the Ukrainian government to release ex Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and they call on the European Union to include an issue on release of Tymoshenko as an important criterion for signing of the Agreement on association.

Radio “Svoboda” reports that the Senate approved this document on November 18.
In the resolution there is a concern concerning a selective justice and politically motivated imprisonment of Yu. Tymoshenko that “detracts from Ukraine’s otherwise strong relationship with Europe, the United States, and the community of democracies”.
