An offer of the Ukrainian government that suspended a preparation process for signing of Agreement on association with the EU,  on carrying out of the negotiations in a trilateral format EU-Ukraine-Russian “ is not  a way out  and has no precedents”, said Minister of Lithuania ,that chairs in the EU now, Linas Linkevičius.

According to an own UNIAN correspondent in Brussels,  it is said in a special statement spread by the Mission of Lithuania under the EU : “An offer concerning carrying out of the trilateral negotiations is not a way out and has no precedents. An offer of the EU concerning bilateral negotiations remains valid, but we do not see a role for third countries in this process”.

“We do not believe in any postponing of signing of the Agreement. It would take away chances for signing and postpone the benefits that Agreement on association would give Ukrainians in perspective”, - the statement reports.
