The European Union should leave a possibility of European integration for Ukraine even if the Association Agreement is not signed at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius.
According to an UNIAN correspondent in Warsaw, head of the Polish government Donald Tusk, whom PAP Polish Information Agency cites, said this.
“Together with President (President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski) we speak with our partners not to give up. Doors to Europe should remain open for Ukraine regardless of doubts and absence of decision of current power (in Ukraine)”, - he said.
According to the words of Tusk, looking at reaction of Ukrainians to suspend the European integration indicates that this topic is very important for citizens. “Ukrainians should clearly recognize that it (European integration) was suspended by the President and the government, but Europe is ready, Europe does not impede this process”, he said.
