PM of Latvia resigns due to mall collapse tragedy

Prime Minister of Latvia Valdis Dombrovskis made a decision to resign due to the Maxima mall collapse in Riga that took away more than 50 lives.

According to RIA Novosti, he announced this after the meeting with President of Latvia Andris Bērziņš.

The Prime Minister said that he takes upon himself the political responsibility for what had happened. He also said that he will tell more details at special press conference.
