The Prime Minister stressed that Government is interested in attracting opposition to working out a draft government action program. “We have an opportunity to jointly discuss a plan of carrying out all reforms,” Yulia Tymoshenko underscored.

At the same time the PM came out in favour of creating a working group including representatives of coalition and opposition for elaborating coordinated bill on opposition. “The parliamentary opposition should have very serious status,” she said, stressing that opposition should have not declarative rights but all instruments for controlling the government’s activity.

In particular, in Yulia Tymoshenko’s opinion, the opposition representatives should be included in supervisory boards of public enterprises, take up posts of deputy ministers and heads of state regional administrations. Besides, according to her, the bill is to consider an opportunity for the opposition once a month to adopt the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada’s work at their discretion.

The Head of Government emphasized the necessity of giving effect to the law on temporary investigating commissions and amendments to the Law On Accounting Chamber. “We, as a power, are interested in adoption of these laws which give significant rights to the opposition,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.

Speaking about recent personnel appointments, the Prime Minister expressed readiness to work with all officials appointed by President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko. “As a person, which strives to change much in our country, I will collaborate with all people appointed to the posts by the President. I want confrontation within the power to come to the end,” Yulia Tymoshenko noted.

The Head of Government underscored that she intends to spare no efforts in efficient cooperation of the Cabinet of Ministers, coalition in the Verkhovna Rada and the President. “I am upholding only peace and order within the power,” she stressed.
