Freedom House International human rights organization believes that the single way out of the crisis in Ukraine is resignation of President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych.
ZN.UA with a reference to a press release of the organization, publicized at the web site, reports.
“Further use of force by Ukrainian authorities should lead to the immediate imposition of targeted sanctions by the United States and European Union against Ukrainian officials responsible for such actions”, it is noted in the report.
The Freedom House also called Yanukovych to resign because representatives of organization believe that “way to trigger early presidential elections, the only non-violent way to end the standoff with demonstrators”.
It is also said in the reports that “the international community must stand with the democratic aspirations of those brave Ukrainian people who have taken to the streets”.
Chairman of the Freedom House David Kramer expressed a persuasion that Yanukovych “lost support and legitimacy among Ukrainians”.
