European Parliament recommends Ukrainian authorities to carry out early elections

The European Parliament recommended the Ukrainian authorities to confirm its legitimacy through carrying out early election in the country.

According to an own UNIAN correspondent in Brussels, it is said in the special resolution  “Results of Vilnius Summit and Future of “Eastern Partnership”, in particular towards Ukraine” approved at the session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

“Early elections for democratic state are acceptable way out of the situation, when the authorities should confirm its legitimacy”, the resolution said. At the same time the European parliamentarians did not specified, what concrete elections they mean – parliamentary or presidential early elections.
