Yanukovych criticized Tymoshenko’s budget
It is hard to fulfill, he said
Party of Regions leader Viktor Yanukovych claims that the 2008 Draft Budget, which the Tymoshenko government is going to put to a vote, is hard to fulfill, according to Ukrayinska Pravda.
On Thursday, Mr. Yanukovych received the Draft Budget signed by Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk who asked the former PM to express his view.
Mr. Yanukovych criticized increase of the budget revenue and rise in the state debt.
“If in such a way the government is trying to enhance the prestige, we will not allow it to do so. This is populism which is unlikely to make the life better.”
Party of Regions leader stressed that his party will suggest introducing a budget item regarding transition to the contract conscription and young family crediting.
It is widely known that under the Yanukovych government the state debt increased several times.
