Students of Kyiv National University n.a. Taras Shevchenko go on hunger strike with no fixed term. The main demand of students is to recall State inspection of educational institutions of Ukraine that carries out an unplanned check of Kyiv universities from 11.01.14 till 25.01.14.
It is said at the official web page of Institute of journalism of Kyiv National University n.a. Taras Shevchenko in Vkontakte social network.
Students consider a presence of the State inspection of educational institutions as repressions towards participants and people not indifferent to “EuroMaidan”.
“Students do not have a possibility to answer a question adequately because they are nervous and feel a moral- psychological pressure of the third persons.
Students also see a bias of the inspection that exerts pressure on lecturers during exams. It leads to changing of manner of carrying out of exams without notification”, it is said in the statement.
Students demand from the Education and Science Ministry of Ukraine to recall the State inspection of educational institutions immediately and not to allow further pressure on students, who upheld their constitutional rights during peaceful protest actions.
The action will start at 13.00 pm on January 15 near the Monument to Taras Shevchenko.
“The hunger strike will not end until demand is fulfilled”, it is stressed in the statement.
