Lawmaker from the Batkivshchyna, chairperson of Education and Science Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Lilia Hrynevych notes that students of Kyiv National University n.a. Taras Shevchenko will not go on hunger strike due to checks in universities.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, she said this during a press conference, commenting on the situation concerning checks of the State inspection of the educational institutions.
“Today we had information that some students of Kyiv National University n.a. Taras Shevchenko are about to go on hunger strike due to checks”, -reminded the lawmaker.
Hrynevych stressed that under pressure of students and her position that she publicized in networks and mass media, “the check of the University n.a. Shevchenko is stopped today and students will no go on hunger strike”.
She expressed opinion that these checks may be considered as “revenge for EuroMaidan”, though it is carried out under pretence of protection of students from possible pressure.
