A group of lawmakers of the European Parliament will arrive in Ukraine on January 28, today. High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton will also pay a visit to Kyiv today.
According to an own UNIAN correspondent in Brussels, the special delegation in staff of 12 lawmakers of the European Parliament will pay a two-day visit to Ukraine The press service of the legislative body of the EU confirmed these plans.
The European lawmakers that will stay in Kyiv till January 30 are about to hold meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, opposition, participants of the protest actions with a goal to find ways out of the political crisis in Ukraine.
Current Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok will head the delegation.
