President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and his wife Catherine celebrated the Christmas Eve in “Lisova Pisnya” resort complex in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. They shared the holiday supper with famous politicians.
According to the information of Ukrayina Moloda daily, issued on 9 January, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Raisa Bohatyryova, and President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha attended the supper.
Besides, Constitutional Court of Ukraine chairman Andriy Stryzhak, Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense faction leader Viacheslav Kyrylenko, Kyiv Oblast State Administration chief Vira Ulyanchenko, were also present at Christmas Eve supper.
According to the newspaper, this was “the first private party with the “orange team” for Raisa Bohatyryova. Besides, on the same day, the Ukraine’s Security Chief marked her 55th birthday.
According to the information of Ukrayinska Pravda, R.Bohatyryova disclosed to those present the reasons of her transferring from the “regionals” camp to the President’s team. However, the UP sources do not specify what exactly was said by R.Bohatyryova.
“According to sources from the President’s entourage, the party was carried out in a friendly atmosphere. Yulia Tymoshenko thanked very much Victor Yushchenko for organizing the warm holiday, while Mrs. Raisa was talking about further “understanding and uniting”, Ukrayina Moloda reads.
Besides, a fire was made up near “Lisova Pisnya”. V.Kyrylenko called this fire “insurgent”.
A Christmas Vertep performed a number of ritual songs for the President and his guests.
