The court closed the criminal proceedings against former chairman of KCSA Oleksandr Popov, deputy head of the NSDC Volodymyr Sivkovych and chairman of Kyiv Militia Valeriy Koryak, who were accused of exceeding their powers during dispersal of EuroMaidan on November 30, on the basis of law on elimination of negative consequences and prevention of persecution and punishment of people concerning the events that took place during carrying out of peaceful gatherings.

The press service of the prosecutor’s office of the city disclosed this to UNIAN.

“In this way Pechersk and Shevchenkovskyi district courts of Kyiv fulfilled requirements of the mentioned law on release of suspects, accuseds and convicts from criminal responsibility for the events that took place in November-December last year”, said head of the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Kyiv Yana Sobolevskaya.
